3. Keep a journal
We’re living in such weird times, having to stay home, not being able to see your friends, doing school online, it all feels a bit overwhelming. Keeping a journal and writing down your ideas is a good way to have an outlet for your thoughts instead of letting them all cram up in your head. I mean, we’re living in a pandemic, imagine looking back at your journal in a year’s time when (hopefully) all of this is over. COVID-19 will really mark a large time in history– you never know the purpose that your personal journal could provide in the future. Even for your mental health, it’s important that you don’t ignore your thoughts and how you’re feeling. You don’t even have to write just about how you feel, you could write To Do lists, bucket lists, stories or you could just doodle and draw. Whatever you like, just so long as you’re still forming a creative outlet and getting away from your screens for a bit.

4. Write a letter to yourself to open in 5 years
When you look back to what you were like 5 years ago, what was your reaction? Did you like the person you were? Do you look at old pictures of yourself and think “how could anyone let me wear that?” I think most of us can relate to this, however it’s important to not take these things too seriously; what matters is the person you are today. Nonetheless, it is quite entertaining to open old photo albums, art pieces, letters and return to your memories, both good and bad. Maybe you have some goals that you want to reach in 5 years, where do you see yourself in the future? Where do you want to see yourself in the future? It’s easy to forget the goals and wishes you had years ago, and it’s important to strive for your current goals and wishes however it may be interesting to see how they’ve changed over time. Write this letter and store it in a place which you know you will have access to in 5 years! It may be nice to look back at your old memories!
